What is faith-based counseling?
We believe that individuals are comprised of a body (physical), soul (cognitive and volitional), and spirit and therefore healing is best accomplished by addressing issues holistically. Our approach is to integrate the truths and principles from the Bible with effective psychological principles and practices that are not contrary to the Word of God.
We recognize that an individual’s faith can be one of their greatest resources in maintaining hope and we encourage clients to draw upon this resource for healing and transformation. All of our counselors have a Christian faith and have Masters Degrees in Counseling Psychology and are licensed with the state of Alaska. We recognize that some do not espouse a Christian faith, and we respect the beliefs of these individuals and will not impose our faith upon them.
Depending on services required, additional fees may apply.
