More About Peggy
Peggy Barkman has worked with New Hope Counseling Center since January 2006. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Health and Human Services from the University of Northern Colorado and a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Liberty University.
Peggy has been licensed with the state of Alaska since 2011. She is also a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. Peggy offers individual, couples and family counseling to clients ages twelve thru adult. Her areas of experience and expertise include, but are not limited to: anxiety, depression, grief, substance abuse and chemical dependency, sexual abuse, physical abuse, trauma/crisis counseling, marriage and family counseling, pre-marital counseling, divorce recovery, anger management and spiritual concerns. Peggy practices traditional therapeutic approaches of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Brief Solution- Focused Therapy, Sand tray Therapy, Insight-Oriented Therapy and Grief Therapy integrated with Biblical principles.
